__2D patterning/nesting__and__3D sail design software__, we do also have some very simple low cost 3D canvas programs. These are particularly popular with sailmakers and small canvas lofts that aren't prepared to invest time or money in more powerful 3D programs.

__Pagoda/Hypar software__Hypars are simple 4 sided saddle structures that are functional and elegant.

__Tent software__The Tent software is simple software for designing a blended corner for a tent. These corners can be combined in multiple ways to form the example structures shown above.

__Triangulation__The Triangulation software uses connecting triangles to define the size and shape
of a pattern. The size of each triangle is defined by the length of its 3 sides.
If triangles are drawn over a 3D shape and their sides measured, they can be entered into this
window to develop the corresponding pattern required to cover that 3D shape.
An example would be a boat cover. You can think of the adjacent sides of the triangles as being
hinges that unfold from the 3D surface to form a flat pattern.

Although intended for measuring 3D shapes like boat covers it can also be used to measure large flat shapes like pool covers or flat awnings. If required, these can then be divided up into strips using the divide function in
